Many of you may have heard about the Active Kids Program which has been introduced by the NSW Government. Basically, every child (4.5 – 18 years old) enrolled in school from Kindergarten to Year 12 is eligible to receive a $100 voucher to be used towards a sport of your choice. Please note that the $100 cannot be split across multiple sports or registrations. For families with multiple children, you will need to register each child for the voucher.
To obtain the voucher, simply head to the Service NSW website and register via the Service NSW Portal. You will require each child’s Medicare number to obtain the voucher. Once you receive the voucher, which comes in the form of a downloadable voucher/number, you can enter this on the registration portal and the voucher will be applied to the registration costs (example of a successful voucher added). For parent/families without access to the internet, please head to your local RMS/Service NSW centre and they will be able to assist. Please note, that the committee members will be unable to obtain this voucher for you.
We realise that there may be some problems in obtaining the voucher and redeeming in the online portal. Should this be the case, please email the DK Committee or message or Facebook page and we will endeavor to assist in whatever way we can.
We look forward to the upcoming season and look forward to seeing return players, as well as any new players that may be interested.
